Clear answers before the first workshop.
A practical guide to how Ledgerloom approaches fintech product delivery, systems integration and support.
What happens during project discovery?
We map the intended customer and operational outcomes, involved systems, data flows, constraints, ownership and delivery risks. Discovery ends with useful artefacts—such as a workflow map, integration context, open decisions and a prioritised next step—not a generic slide deck.
How do you collaborate with compliance and risk teams?
We bring risk, compliance, operations and engineering into the workflow and interface conversations early. We help make evidence, review states and technical controls visible, while your organisation and its advisers retain responsibility for policy interpretation and regulated decisions.
Who owns the integrations after delivery?
Ownership is agreed before build. We document system boundaries, credentials and access responsibilities, provider dependencies, alert routes and support arrangements. The client usually owns production systems and operating decisions; any ongoing Ledgerloom role is defined in a written scope.
Can you design and build APIs for partners?
Yes. Work can include API contracts, versioning, authentication boundaries, idempotency, error models, examples, sandbox onboarding and contract tests. We shape the interface around partner capabilities and the internal system of record.
Can you work with a legacy core banking platform?
Yes. We start by understanding supported interfaces, batch windows, data ownership and operational constraints. A practical adapter or staged integration can reduce coupling without assuming that a core replacement is necessary.
How do you approach financial data migration?
We profile representative data, agree mappings and control totals, rehearse repeatable migration runs and define exception handling before cutover. Validation should be observable and signed off by the client’s accountable owners.
What security practices are part of delivery?
We use least-privilege access where practicable, minimise sensitive data in development, keep secrets out of source control, review dependency and threat considerations, and include relevant test and release checks. Scope depends on the client environment; we do not claim certification or guarantee security.
What support is available after release?
Support can include scheduled advisory, enhancement delivery or an agreed operational-assistance model. Service hours, severity definitions, response targets, escalation and system scope must be written into the support agreement.
What documentation do you hand over?
Depending on scope, handover includes architecture and data-flow diagrams, interface notes, environment and access assumptions, test evidence, runbooks, known limitations, decisions and named operational ownership.
Where is Ledgerloom based and where do you deliver?
Ledgerloom is based in Naples, Italy, and works with international financial organisations. Delivery workshops can be remote or arranged in person by agreement; time zones, travel and language needs are discussed during scoping.
How long does a typical engagement take?
A bounded discovery or design sprint may take a few weeks. A product or integration delivery can span multiple milestones depending on partner access, client review and release controls. We provide a working estimate only after understanding the scope and dependencies.
Which engagement model should we choose?
A Focused Sprint suits a bounded question; a Delivery Pod suits an agreed product slice; an Integration Partner model suits ongoing platform change. We can help choose the smallest format that answers the real need.
Do you guarantee regulatory approval or compliance?
No. We can design and implement technical workflows that support your controls and evidence needs. Regulatory interpretation, approvals and decisions belong to the relevant organisation and authorities.
What should we include in an initial conversation?
A short description of the customer or operations problem, the systems involved, what is blocking progress and any known constraints is enough. Please do not send passwords, card details or unnecessary sensitive personal data.
